Violence in schools

This morning (July 31st) the major news story on the BBC was the report of the Home Affairs Committee on the violence strategy. The headline calls for dedicated police for violent schools. In my view, this is misleading and portrays schools and the solution in a very simplistic way.

David Sidwick selected as Conservative PCC candidate for Dorset

A successful local businessman has been selected as the Conservative Police and Crime Commissioner (PCC) candidate for Dorset.

David Sidwick was chosen at a meeting at the Allendale Centre in Wimborne, attended by around 100 local Conservative members.
